The Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) currently moderates two email-based discussion groups:

HIV Treatment Failure Discussion Group (Manager/Moderator - Dr Jeremy Nel):

A moderated email discussion group focused on the management of second line HIV treatment failure, the use of genotypic resistance testing and the management of patients on third line antiretrovirals. Group members submit difficult and/or interesting cases to the moderator, who shares the case with the group and moderates the discussion. Once a case has been fully discussed, opinions are sought from a variety of experts. Pediatric Discussion Group (Manager/Moderator - Dr Leon Levin):

Assists healthcare professionals to resolve HIV-related clinical problems through the use of case studies. Difficult and/or interesting cases are e-mailed to group members who e-mail their responses to all participants. Once a case has been fully discussed, opinions are usually sought from overseas experts. The Discussion Group currently has over 1700 subscribers/contributors.
